Five opportunities to apply the lecture ideas.
Cadence and weighting
Assignments take place in Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Each contributes 3%, for a total of 15% of the course grade. There is no assignment in Week 12 and no quiz.
Assignment 1: Explain an Interface Through Human Capabilities
Analyze three interaction difficulties in one interface, propose an annotated redesign, compare pointing difficulty using Fitts’ law, and describe how you would check one improvement.
Individual work · 3% of the course grade. Submit a 4–6-page illustrated PDF. No coding or timed experiment is required.

Marking: Analysis and reasoning 40%; redesign and justification 30%; Fitts’ law comparison 20%; clarity and visual communication 10%.
