13:30–16:30 · Z23

Principles

Security objectives and threats; encryption, hashes, authentication, signatures, certificates, TLS and privacy.

Application & programming

Follow a C/Arduino data path from acquisition through validation and computation to PC logging; reason about failed and rejected inputs.

Weekly PPTX, code and recordings: in preparation.

Learning focus

Explain network and security roles and modify a familiar integration example. Low-level serial setup is supplied.

D: do independently · M: explain and modify a worked example · R: recognize, trace and compare.

Revisit: Reuse tests, loops, records and I/O in one behavior.

Wednesday 16 Dec · Recitation

Revisit loops, functions and records through a familiar integration failure.

Start time tentatively 16:30; room to be announced.

Friday 18 Dec · CSE107
