CSE 107
FALL 2026 · GEBZE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Week 08

10 Nov–13 Nov 2026 · Algorithm efficiency and multidimensional arrays

Provisional weekly plan. PPTX decks, handouts and submission briefs are in preparation; the topics below are not released assignments.

Tuesday 10 Nov · CSE101

13:30–16:30 · Z23

Principles

Compare linear and binary search, insertion sort, correctness and termination; explain growth in work and time/memory tradeoffs.

Application & programming

Revisit one-dimensional traversal, then trace rows, columns, nested loops and boundary checks in a two-dimensional array.

Weekly PPTX, code and recordings: in preparation.

Learning focus

Traverse a one-dimensional array and trace two-dimensional arrays with nested loops. Higher dimensions remain a conceptual analogy; practice continues as needed.

D: do independently · M: explain and modify a worked example · R: recognize, trace and compare.

Revisit: Repeat one-dimensional traversal before adding a second index.

Wednesday 11 Nov · Recitation

Draw the table first, then trace two indices. Repeat function and loop questions.

Start time tentatively 16:30; room to be announced.

Friday 13 Nov · CSE107

Lab 07: Multidimensional arrays

Practise one-dimensional traversal, then modify a small two-dimensional table of Arduino readings on the PC. Capture support and fixed test data are supplied.

Attend your assigned two-hour group. Handout in preparation.
